Panel 1

Childrens Tract in English and Spanish Panel 1

The scene shows God having just created all things: the Earth, animals, man & woman. This illustration represents the perfect relationships that existed before Adam & Eve (the first man & woman) disobeyed God & sin entered the world. Before that terrible event, there was no sin (wrongdoing) to separate God & mankind.

  • “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” - Genesis 1:27 (ANIV)
  • “I [Jesus Christ] have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. “ - John 10:10b (ANIV)

This series of cartoons shows the Bridge illustration, which is a simple explanation of the Good News, or the Gospel, as outlined in the Bible. In this first scene, we see the creation of the world, with man & woman in perfect relationship with each other & with God. This was the condition of man in the beginning, before sin entered the world & separated all of mankind from our holy God.

Panel 2

Spanish and English Tract for children panel 2

The scene shows the man & woman (representative of us all) separated from the loving embrace & security of God by their sins (wrongdoing.) Sin always separates us from God, because He is perfect & can not look upon sin. In this illustration sin is depicted as a vast fiery chasm, impossible to cross for the man & woman. They need help! God knows that, & sent His only Son (Jesus Christ) to die & pay (atone for) all of our sins. In so doing, Jesus created a “bridge” across which we can once again be reunited with the Lord God.

  • “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” - Romans 3:23 (ANIV)
  • “For the wages of sin is death” - Romans 6:23 (ANIV)
  • “Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” - Hebrews 9:27 (ANIV)

In this second scene we see the result of sin entering into the world, which occurred after the fall of man.  As a result of the fall, sin entered the world & the man & woman were separated from the loving relationship that they had previously enjoyed with God. Now a great chasm existed, which separated God from mankind – represented in my cartoon by the lava filled chasm. It is sin which separates man from God. This separation occurs for each & every person born into the world, regardless of how “good” or how many good deeds they do.

God is entirely pure & holy: there is no sin in Him. Since He is entirely without sin & His nature can not abide sin, his holy nature demands that mankind be separated from his holy presence. Thus God is on the right hand side of the chasm (you can not see Him in this scene) & the man & woman (representing all of mankind) are on the left hand side of the chasm – desperately reaching out towards God, but unable to get to Him, because of the great chasm of sin that separates both parties.

Panel 3

Children's tract in English and Spanish panel 3

The scene shows the man & woman (representative of us all) crossing the great wooden cross. Only by coming to the cross of Jesus Christ can our sins be dealt with once & for all. Only once that has happened, can we be reunited with the Lord God.

  • “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.”  - 1 Peter 3:18 (ANIV)
  • “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  - Romans 5:8 (ANIV)

Man is separated from God by sin.

The dilemma for God is this: He has to deal with sin & he wants to love mankind. His pure & Holy nature can not abide sin, & sin must always be judged & destroyed by God. If people die in their sin, then they will be eternally separated from God, in hell. However, the other side of God’s nature is love, & He does not want a single human being to suffer eternal separation from Himself. The whole of human history is a record of how God has been working both to fully deal with the problem of sin & how he has provided a way back into his presence for us all.

Since sin separates us from God, some way to “pay” that price had to be found, in order to remove the sin from mankind & thus allow men & women to once again enjoy the loving presences of God. It is clear from this condition that a sacrifice was necessary, one that would “pay” the price of all mankind’s sin, & therefore provide a way back to God. As soon as sin entered the world (at the fall) God’s plan of redemption started, which culminated in the birth, life, death, resurrection & ascension of His one & only Son, Jesus Christ. It is Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross (in our place) which pays the full price of all of our sin. Thus, in my cartoon, it is the wooden cross of Jesus which spans the chasm of sin, & effectively bridges the gap between man & God.

In this third scene we see the solution which God provides to enable mankind to overcome the problem of his sinfulness, & get back to God. The man & woman are walking across the “bridge” of the wooden cross, anticipating a speedy reunion with God, who is waiting on the other side of the sin chasm (out of our view.)

Panel 4

Childrens tract English and Spanish panel 4

The scene shows the man & woman (representative of us all) reunited with the Lord God. We know from the Bible that it was the terrible cost of the Cross, which Jesus paid on our behalf, for our sins, which allows our sins to be dealt with, & which allow us free access back into the wonderful presence of the Lord.

  • “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” - John 3:16-17 (ANIV)
  • “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”  - John 5:24 (ANIV)

In this fourth scene we see the man & woman have crossed the “bridge” (provided by the cross of Jesus Christ) & have run into the arms of our loving, heavenly Father. We can just see the edge of the wooden cross, resting on God’s side of the chasm.

All the way down through history, God has been working to create a way to bring sinful mankind back to a point of sinlessness, so that He could restore the broken relationship between Himself & all mankind. The sacrifice made by Jesus Christ, on the cross, was the only way to provide a bridge over the chasm of sin that separates man from God. It is Christ’s sacrifice on the cross which provides the means for all of us to return to God our heavenly Father.

This bridge illustration explains the nature of sin & why it is so terrible: sin separates us from the love & saving grace of God. But help is at hand! The sacrificial life & death of God’s Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross, paid the price of all of our sin, in full. Now the way back to God is open for everyone.

How do you cross over the chasm from the side of our sin (resulting in death & eternal separation from God) to the side of God (resulting in eternal life which begins as soon as you become a Christian & culminates in eternal life in Heaven with God)?

Acts 2:36-39 (ANIV)

[The apostle Peter said] “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

The way to “get back to God” is two-fold:

1) Repent of your past sins – That just means to change your mind, to turn away from all your wrong doing. It means to say sorry to God for your wrong words & actions in the past. You can do that in a simple pray to God (see below.)

2) Believe & receive the free gift of salvation that Jesus Christ holds out to each & every one of us. Faith is an act of the will, it is not a feeling. You simply decide to believe. Then all you have to do believe what the Bible tells us:

Romans 10:13 (ANIV)

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

All you have to do in order to be saved from the sin that will condemn you to an eternity in hell, is to Repent & Believe. You can pray the following prayer & then be assured that you have saved yourself:

“Dear Heavenly Father,

I have heard your invitation to believe in Jesus Christ & now I want to accept Him as my Lord & Savior. I come to you now with all my past sins, errors, heartaches which you know all about. I make the choice here & now to turn away from evil & to turn to you, Lord Jesus. I choose to believe in my heart what I now confess with my mouth: that you are my Savior, My Lord & My God.

Thank you for accepting me as your child & I open myself to receive the counselor, the Holy Spirit, right now. I believe in you & receive you, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.”

Q - What are Memory Cross cards made of and how durable are they?

A - The small Memory Cross cards are printed on 10 point coated board (think playing cards).  The larger cards which measure 6 x 6 inches are printed on 100 lb. uncoated cover (think Hallmark card).  We've tested each size and they hold up to hundreds of folds.  The larger cards hold up longer because the "hinges" that allow them to fold are larger.  We've tested the larger cards to fold over 500 times.  That being said it is still important for the cards to be folded properly.  Most children can figure it out on their own but if you are giving them to 4 or 4 year olds we recommend that you show them how it works.  If you do not know how they work, we've created a video that you can watch by clicking here.

Q - What guarantee do you offer?

A - Memory Cross offers a 100% money back guarantee if you are not happy for any reason.  We even pick up the cost of shipping the product back.  Here is the link to our full return policy.

Q - Can cards be customized?

A - Yes cards can be customized for churches and businesses.  The minimum order for churches is 250 and for business is 500.
