A Cape May Keepsake for Your Christmas Tree
Bring a piece of the Jersey Shore home for Christmas with this Cape May Lighthouse ornament, created on a natural translucent seashell.
Standing at Cape May Point since 1859, where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic, the Cape May Lighthouse has guided mariners for more than 160 years. It's also a favorite stop for the generations of families who have climbed its 199 steps, watched the sunset nearby, and made Cape May their summer tradition.
This ornament shows the lighthouse and its coastal surroundings with subtle stained-glass-inspired detailing. It measures about 3 inches across, but the natural seashell itself is what really sets it apart.
Christmas Lights Shine Through the Shell
The natural shell is translucent, so light passes softly through the ornament.
Hang it near the lights on your tree and the lighthouse, sky and water take on a warm, luminous glow, almost like a tiny backlit stained-glass window.
It's beautiful in daylight and takes on a completely different character once the Christmas lights come on.
Lighthouse + Seashell
A lighthouse and a natural shell from the sea belong together.
This one keepsake brings together Cape May's most recognizable landmark and the shoreline around it. For anyone who has vacationed in Cape May, grown up going "down the shore," sailed the Delaware Bay, or simply loves lighthouses, it's a way to remember a special place every Christmas.
