Christians, now is the time to pray for our government.

Christians, now is the time to pray for our government.

We are watching our nation unravel, not just from political disagreement, but from deep, growing hatred between fellow Americans. We are no longer dealing with a healthy debate between two sides seeking the same goal. What we are seeing is a breakdown of respect, decency, and common purpose. Our leaders are entrenched in power struggles while the people they were elected to serve grow weary, frustrated, and forgotten.

When Will Enough Be Enough? Republicans Must Hear from the People They Serve

At the center of this shutdown is a simple, reasonable offer. Democrats proposed a one-year extension of subsidies for the Affordable Care Act (ACA),  a lifeline that helps over 40 million Americans afford health insurance. It is a temporary solution, meant to keep families covered and protect lives while lawmakers worked toward a more permanent agreement.

But instead of negotiating, top Republicans flatly refused, which will cause 40 million people to see their health insurance double or triple January 1st.  The Republicans did not have a problem voting to give billions to large corporations and the wealthy 1% of Americans, yet when it comes to helping 40 million working Americans, they refuse, citing the cost is too high.  Are you kidding me?

Making America Great Again but for who?

Making America Great Again — But for Who?

Donald Trump loves to say he “made America great again.” But let’s be honest, great for who?  If you’re sitting on millions in stock, own a few companies, or cash seven-figure checks, you probably benefited financially.

If you’re working two jobs, living on Social Security, or trying to get by on disability benefits, his promise apparently did not include you.  This is a look at Trump's policies over his two presidencies and how they have benefited or hurt you.

The First Time in History: SNAP Payments Halted Under the Trump Administration

The First Time in History: SNAP Payments Halted Under the Trump Administration

Under the Trump administration, the Department of Agriculture has announced that November SNAP payments will not go out, citing a lack of appropriated funds during the ongoing government shutdown. In every previous shutdown under both Republican and Democrat administrations contingency funds were used to keep these essential benefits flowing. This time, the USDA has decided those funds “cannot” be used, leaving more than 40 million Americans without food assistance.

Let that sink in: through wars, recessions, and political fights, this country has always found a way to feed its people. Until now.  Read more

Maybe We Don’t Have to Be #1: Rethinking Strength, Competition, and What Really Makes a Nation Great

We live in a world obsessed with competition. Nations compete for economic power, companies battle for market share, and politicians argue over who’s “winning.” Somewhere along the line, “being number one” became the only thing that mattered.

But maybe it’s time to ask: what if that mindset is actually holding us back?

What happened to my republican party?

Why the Republican Party Should Rebrand Itself as the “Trump-ublicans”

I grew up believing in the Republican Party of old — the one that stood for fiscal responsibility, small government, strong defense, personal responsibility, and respect for the Constitution. That’s the party I used to vote for. But let’s be honest: that party doesn’t exist anymore. What we have today isn’t the Republican Party I once respected — it’s the Trump-ublican Party.

Bring Back Common Sense: The Debt We’re Dumping on Our Kids and Grandkids

We’ve all seen what happens when a family lives beyond its means. The credit cards pile up, interest payments eat away at income, and eventually you hit a wall. Bankruptcy doesn’t happen all at once — it’s a slow slide brought on by bad habits, ignored warnings, and denial.

Now look at Washington. The same pattern, only with bigger numbers and less accountability.

We Need to Stop This Madness

We Need to Stop This Madness

I’ve voted Republican for most of my life, but this isn’t the party I once knew.
Somewhere along the way, loyalty to one man replaced loyalty to the truth.

The Bible says in Proverbs 29:2, “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.” It’s time for Christians and all Americans to stand for leaders who act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.

We don’t need blind loyalty — we need moral courage.
We don’t need chaos — we need conviction.
The midterms are coming. Pray. Speak out. Vote for those who serve the people and honor God above party.
