There is a lot of stress right now. So many people are struggling but Jesus can help you through the difficult times.

Finding Hope When Life Feels Impossible

Finding Hope When Life Feels Impossible

There’s a lot of pain in the world right now.  I see it when I'm working at the Food Pantry or when I'm talking with friends or people I work with.  For many, it feels like the walls are closing in, families struggling to afford food with SNAP funding halted, seniors on fixed incomes watching prices climb higher every month, and hardworking people wondering how they’ll make it through another week. And then there are the battles no policy can fix. like when someone you love is told they have cancer and there’s nothing more the doctors can do.

It’s easy to feel like the world’s gone dark. But Jesus warned us that we would face times like this. “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

Those aren’t empty words. They’re a promise that no matter how hard life gets, we don’t face it alone. Jesus never said following Him would mean an easy life; He said He would be with us through it all. When everything feels like it’s falling apart, He reminds us that He’s still holding it all together.

He’s the calm in the chaos. The light when everything else feels dark. The friend who sits beside you when the news is bad and the bills are due and the future looks uncertain. The same Jesus who conquered death can carry you through whatever you’re facing today.

So if you’re struggling right now with your health, your finances, your faith, or just the weight of the world hold on. You are not forgotten. You are not alone. The same Savior who walked out of the tomb is walking with you now.

And He will get you through this.

A Prayer for Hard Times

Lord Jesus,  You see the struggles we’re facing, the bills we can’t pay, the pain we can’t fix, the fear that creeps in when the future feels uncertain. You know what it’s like to walk through suffering, and You promise never to leave us alone in it.

So today, we give You our burdens.

For those fighting sickness — bring comfort and peace.
For those struggling to feed their families — provide in ways only You can.
For those whose hearts are heavy with worry — remind them that You are still in control.

Help us to trust You, even when we can’t see the way forward.
Help us to remember that You have already overcome the world.
And help us to keep our eyes fixed on You, our hope and our strength.

In Your mighty name we pray,
Amen.

Last Thing

If you’re struggling, take heart Jesus will see you through.

And if you’re not struggling, keep your eyes open, because those around you are. Maybe you can help. It could be as simple as looking someone in the eyes, giving them a hug, paying for their groceries, or listening to a neighbor who just needs to talk. God doesn’t expect us to do what we can’t, but He does expect us to do what we can.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7
