Every October, millions of children flood neighborhoods across America, dressed in costumes and carrying plastic pumpkins or pillowcases, eager to fill them with candy. Halloween has become one of the biggest outreach opportunities in our culture.  Families expect to knock on strangers’ doors, and strangers are expected to answer with open hands.
