Sharing the Gospel in Fun and Creative Ways

Two things have guided me as I've attempted to follow God's guidance for Memory Cross.

  1. Make tools that you can use to share the Gospel with children, youth and adults that are creative and catch people's attention.  To many Gospel tracts and tossed out but with Memory Cross it is far more likely that they will be kept, shared and read and maybe a few more lives will be changed.
  2. Make Gospel tracts that are fun and positive.  It is true that being seperated from God forever to me is a very scary thought and maybe should be put out there more, but since most of our tracts get into the hands of children, helping them understand that God loves them and wants a relationship is, in my opinion is more effective.

For some time I've felt like we could also create resources that could help remind us of who God is.  Deuteronomy 6:9 says "Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."  Technology has changed and now there are many more ways to remind us of who God is, which is why I've decided that Memory Cross should buy a laser engraver.  It will allow us to create a number of products that are not available through our printing equipment.  I've always loved being creative and this will give us new ways to creatively share the Gospel.

One of the first things I worked on was a keychain with the words God is our GPS for live and then Proverbs 3:6 on the back.  When GPS came out in the early 2000 I was amazed that this little device could know where we were and with some instructions about where we wanted to go, set us out a set of directions.

The comparison between the GPS and God guiding our life was immediately evident.  God knows where we are and he also knows where and what we can become.  All we need to do is follow him.  Proverbs 3:6 says "seek his will in all you do and he will show you which path to take." NLT.  Twenty years ago I wrote down God is our GPS for life and earlier this week I put it on a keychain as a reminder when we get in our car and fire up out GPS that God can be directing our lives if we only seek his will.

My prayer is that this little keychain will remind people to turn toward God.
