America is the land of abundance but today I'm not talking about money. It is so easy to fill up our lives with distractions. Cell phones supply a constant stream of the latest updates and sagas from all over the world.
The TV, radio, internet, and Alexa stream more information in 10 seconds than
people received in a lifetime a few years ago. Easy access to so much information has a negative; it hurts our relationship with God.
Psalms 46:10 says "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
Jeremiah 29:13 says “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart”
The solution is simple, make your relationship with God a priority. Make time to read the Bible, pray, read other books that help you grow in your relationship, take a walk and leave the headphones at home.
I love to walk. It helps me to clear my mind, think and pray. There are many ways God can speak to us. One of my favorite books is Whisper by Mark Batters. If you want to experience a close relationship with God this is a great book.
