I Have Loved You with an Everlasting Love

I Have Loved You with an Everlasting Love

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” — Jeremiah 31:3b

What a powerful reminder from God’s Word. In a world where so much feels temporary,  friendships fade, people change, circumstances shift, God’s love never does. His love isn’t based on what we do or how well we perform. It’s eternal, unchanging, and grounded in who He is, not who we are.

When Jeremiah shared this message, Israel had turned away from God. They were rebellious, broken, and facing judgment. Yet even then, God’s message was one of compassion: “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Despite their failures, He remained faithful. That same promise extends to us today.

God doesn’t withdraw His love when we fall short. He doesn’t abandon us when life gets messy. He continues His faithfulness, patiently drawing us back, forgiving, restoring, and reminding us that we are His.

So if you’re feeling distant from God or wondering if you’ve gone too far, remember this: You are deeply loved. Always have been. Always will be.

His love is everlasting. His faithfulness is constant. Rest in that today.
