Verses from the book of Romans have been used for centuries to help bring people into a relationship with Jesus so Memory Cross decided to create a fun card for children using the verses.  English version in NIV

The verses used are

  • Panel 1: Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christi Jesus our Lord, Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
  • Panel 2: Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
  • Panel 3: Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
  • Panel 4: Romans 10:13 Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

We created it as a coloring card because children love to color!  It also means that most kids will keep the card because of the unique design and they have made it their own.

If you are using it in an outreach or mission trip kids will usually want to show it to their parents also, which passes the message onto the adults in the family.  The video below shows how it works.

One change we have made to the Roman Road tracts for kids is each one is now in English and another language, Spanish, Haitian Creole or Romanian.  We realized that when it was going to another country kids were interested in learning English so making them English and say Spanish allows them to learn the Gospel in two languages.  Plus it made it much easier for people going on the mission trip who many not speak the language.

I don't think you can find a better way to share the Gospel with children using the verses from the book of Romans.

If you would like a free sample, click on this link.  Be sure to put you want a sample of the Roman Road tract for kids in the comment box.  The sample pack is free and we make them up on an individual basis so if you are browsing our store and find another one you are interest in, be sure to include a note about it also.  We do charge $3 to $4 to cover shipping.

Respire Haiti

Part of our proceeds go to help support Respire Haiti that provides a number of services to children in Haiti including education, medical services, sports and activities, community outreach, Restavek awareness and just loving on children.

What is a Restavek child?  I did not know until a year or so ago.

Literally translates to child slave or domestic servant. Restaveks are usually between the ages of 4 and 15. They usually do all of the household chores, i.e. cooking, cleaning, washing, and fetching water. Unfortunately, they are often abused and most likely do NOT go to school.

Megan Boudreaux's story is an amazing one of walking and trusting God.

Respire Haiti’s journey in Gressier, Haiti started with Megan meeting a Restavek on Bellevue Mountain. This precious 6 year old girl forever changed Megan’s future and gave Respire Haiti the direction in which God wanted them to go. Shortly after meeting this precious child, Respire Haiti Christian School began. Approximately 60% of the school’s student body are Restaveks.

If you are not familiar with the situation in Haiti currently it is bad, really bad.  The government is barely functioning and gang violence has stopped most people from coming into the country along with much of the goods and services.  The video below shows the situation as of November 19, 2022.

If this situation is tugging at your heart as it is mine and you are wondering what you can do to help, there are several things.

First pray.  The situation in Haiti is going to take more than you or I can do, but we do know the one who created the world.

Second Give.  There are a lot of good organizations still working in Haiti.  Respire Haiti is only one but I have checked them out and their mission and heart are toward serving the children of Haiti.

Megan wrote one of the most God inspiring books I have ever read.   As I was listening there were so many comparisons between Megan walking with God and Abraham.  I would recommend the book for reading by all young people, especially girls who are in their teenage years and beginning to think and maybe inspired by books like hers.  The book is available in a variety of formats on Amazon.
